Projects fail more often than they succeed, and the costs are high. Costly project failure affects more than just the depletion of monetary value, it also depletes the brand and public image of the organisation. It is thus essential that individuals involved in project management are equipped with the skills and tools to plan, execute and close out a project successfully.
This course aims to equip you with a set of skills and competencies that can facilitate effective project execution. It focuses on factors that causes failure and those actions that can be taken to eliminate the causes of failure. By the end of the course you be able to recognise that projects are complex systems; recognise that projects require support from a mature parent organisation and focus team attention on eliminating the causes of failure. In all you will be a more effective and efficient project manager.
